With Joy At School

In some schools the pupils look forward to the holidays, and there are other schools where the pupils look forward to the lessons.

In some schools the pupils look forward to the holidays, and there are other schools where the pupils look forward to the lessons. This is not always due to the underlying pedagogical concept of the school, but rather to the framework conditions that distinguish some schools from others. A riding school, for example, offers experiences and adventures with horses instead of boring lessons, which means that the pupils often can hardly wait for the lessons, after all, they take place in the pasture or in the paddock and offer more than mathematics, history or Latin.

It lies thereby in the nature of the thing that this concept cannot be transferred arbitrarily to each school, in particular the schools in urban areas, this would not go already from the requirements of the horses and surely the education budget of many schools blow up. However, riding schools offer holiday experiences for children and young people which are unique and unforgettable and which nevertheless provide an educational benefit which lasts for a long time and from which teachers at regular schools can also benefit. After all, while education is imparted at school in the city and many students look forward to the holidays because then they don’t have to go to school anymore, riding schools offer riding holidays that children enjoy spending in the fresh air and in activity instead of idling away in front of the TV or on the computer.

In this way the children can let off steam, gain new experiences and learn what joy it is to care for an animal and build up a relationship with it, and bring back many new impressions after the holidays. Which then probably does not last for a whole school year, but at least a few weeks and then there are holidays again, which you can spend on the farm again, if the parents allow it.
